Step 1: Take the liner out of the box, remove any twisty ties, hairliners, etc...
Step 2: Flatten the box out, you will be using this as a template.
Step 3: Remove the plastic part.
Step 4: Using your Microsoft Word program, create your HEADER (or company name) and space it down (to make a window so the doll could be seen) and put the title/theme of the doll. Then print it on your laser printer using the transparency film.
Step 5: Place the plastic (that you just removed) and lay it on top of the printed transparency film. Both should be right side up. Go ahead and trace the plastic using your black sharpie.
Step 6: It should look like this. You're ready to cut. After cutting, lay it aside.
Step 7. Take the box liner and lay it on your cardstock face down. Go ahead and glue it onto the cardstock.
Step 8: Once glued, cut around the template and leave just the side flaps.
Step 9: Glue the side flaps of the cardstock onto the back of the liner.
Step 10: It should look like this. Go ahead and cut where there are slits are.
Step 11: Turn it right side up. Bend where all the original creases are. This is what the slits should look like.
Step 12: Take the top part of the liner and fold where the slits are and then tape them down.
Step 13: Turn it upside down and do the same for the bottom.
Step 14: Once you got it taped down, it should look like this.
Step 15: Now you can place the doll and other accessories in the box. Use your pointed scissors and poke holes just under her armpits. (Make sure you don't poke any holes in her outfit!)
Step 16: Use your twisty-tie and wrap it around her waist and place them in through the poked holes. Turn the box around, twist the ties and then tape over them. (I like to do this so that the liner goes in the box smoothly without getting stuck.
Step 17: The liner should now look like this.
Step 18: Take your wrapping paper and lay it face down. Lay the box template on top face down. Glue onto the wrapping paper.
Step 19: Once glued, cut around the template but leave some room for some flaps like this. Also, it is important to leave a around 1/4" of wrapping paper at the bottom. Cut wear the original slits are.
Step 20: Glue the flaps onto the inside of the box template. Lay it aside.
Step 21: Lay the top box template facedown onto the facedown wrapping paper. Glue it down.
Step 22: Once glued, cut around the template and leave flaps like this again.
Step 23: Place the box top onto the cutting board/mat and use your X-acto knife to create a slit where the original slit was.
Step 24: Take your cut up transparency film and tape it onto the top box. Make sure the transparency film is facing down. The words should look reversed.
Step 25: Line it up and place the box top/transparency film on top of the box template. Glue the transparency film onto the box template. Put tape over it to hold it in place.
Step 26. Bend and fold where all the original creases are, especially on the side of the transparency film.
Step 27. Do it on the other side too.
Step 28: Bend and fold on the top as well.
Step 29: Place your liner on top like this.
Step 30: Fold the box template it around it.
Step 31: You can use the glue gun to glue it shut. I prefer to use my address sticker labels which I preprinted using MyLabels program.
Step 32: Optional: You can glue your business card in the back.
Step 33: And there you have your finished box. You can add your sticker logo if you want. I added a little cardboard cutout of Barbie wearing the similar Fashion Avenue.
